MPC 3000 auto chromatic

Hello,

Just wondering if their is a way to do the auto chromatic function on the MPC 3000. My friend has a 2000XL and I thought it was a cool feature for playing bass lines out of the MPC. It automaticlly assigned the bass tone in the mpc all the way across the midi keyboard so you could play it on the keyboard. This seemed to be pretty easy instead of using the note slider or the 16 levels..It is basiclly like your MPC has a built in synth module sort of speak!! Any help and thoughts on how to make this happen on the MPC 3000 will be greatly appreciated!!

I dont think thats possible. I was trying to do the same thing with my LE, but its not a feature. If its possible I would love to know as well..

You can just make a program with the right detunings and then load the sample and assign to all pads.

yup, i have a couple of akai s3000 disks that load like that on the 3.

Well seeing as the 2000XL makes a seperate program for this feature, is it possible to make this a seperate program on the MPC 3000 and use it in conjunction with another program while sequencing? Example: Drums and samples on program 1..Chromatic bass line on program 2...Then just set what program you are using for what track...Example track 1 drums from program 1, track 2 Chromatic bass tone/line from program 2??

you can load multiple programs but can only use one per sequence.

Yeah..I know.. It'll just take so much time to make that sound right..Damn..
