64GB... I upgraded from 32GB... I imagine you'll be able to use most of a 128GB whenever they come down in price.

The better question though... can you, with a straight face... say you really need more than 2-4GB of wav storage space... or are you like me and just carrying too much junk?

I got a 16GB in my 2500 and it's more than enough storage space for me. If I'm transfering a few files I'll leave it in my MPC and connect to my pc via the MPC's usb but if I'm transfering a large amount of files I'll take my cf card out of the MPC and use the card reader that I have connected to my pc; it transfers the files way faster that way.

I've got a 120gig HD in mine and even after many years I've still only used up 14 gig. Much of that is made up of a sample library I hardly ever use because I tend to get my samples again from scratch when I start a track.
I save all samples and project data in a separate folder for each project too.

My hard drive (stock 2500LE) is much, much faster. I haven't tried any super fast CF or anything though.

Ye, the loading from a CF card on my MPC1000 does seem to be a bit slow.. Time to get an HDM-10.

Hello,

you guys are speaking about the 2k5,
What is the biggest card for the 1K that is working,
only the 2GB or does the JJXL allows for more ?

I use an 8GB CF card, but it does not have much stuff on it, so I'm not sure if the MPC actually sees all of the 8GB.

p.

I had a 1k about 6 months ago with the same 16gb cf card that is now in my 2500. I had no problems with it in my old 1k and just like in my 2500 I was able to see the whole 16gb (it's actually about 15 point something gb, I forgot the exact size that it recognizes)
