Is there anyone aware of the ADC used in the mpc1000 design ? I remember the ADC chip coming from a Japanese company but I cannot recall the name.

Thanks for the information

don't be afraid of pitching things hard in a synth-esque context on the mpc1000/2500.

LOADS of realtime detuning on the instrumentation on this song. it sounds fine in context. it also uses a technique i want to do more, which is looping + detuning....i love the sound of a loop repeating fast when pitched up, and slow when pitched down...
pitching an actual sample down doesn't sound as good. a little murky. i would pitch first in Reaper, which uses the world's best algorithms to pitch, stretch and detune (elastique)
