Hi!

I have a M-Audio Ketstation 49e. Its a MIDI Keyboard. I'd like to connect it to my MPC 2500, so I'll be able to play the samples not with my MPC pads but with my keybaord keys... How can I do that?

Btw I Have a MIDI Cable, and my keyboard has only 1 x MIDI OUT.

you dont need to configure this in MIDI/Sync unless you want the mpc to master for an external DAW or have the MPC slaved by the DAW!
If you are wanting to trigger an external synth/module than thats different!
If you are wanting to trigger samples in a program then just plug in the keyboard and play! if its not working i would be checking the keyboards outputs, midi channel and internal setting, the MPC should be fine! you dont need to sync it!

damn.... it's still not working. I connected the keyboard to the MPC tried to play something but no sound comes out. How can I check if the MIDI ports are working in my MPC and my keyboard, is there anyway to check that?

Are you sure that you dont have to configure anything?
Should I change the DRUM option to MIDI in the main screen?

PEACE
and thx for the help

how many samples are you trying to play, if the program isnt chromatic then the samples will most likely be placed all around the keys, so try and make you program chromatic (pad 1,2,3,4/c,d,e,f).
Also chek its not your midi cable, that might be the prob!
Hope this helps.
Peace!

Why dont you guys plug in your keyboards as stated, then go to "midi monitor" Mode 9/ f4,on the Mpc & see if it's receiving. If it is then then you may need to transpose the keystation. If not well.....
