How can I transfer my MPC60 samples on my computer?

Hey,

I've resolved my problems!

So I have donwload MPC Editor (PC) and Rs-16x (Mac) I have formatted my ZIP100mo with the software, and now I can put all my 60's stuff on the ZIP and put them on my computer!

On monday, I have lost my sounds because I've used a bad USB Zip reader. I've found a better one and it works well.

Ouch, another problem: I've realized that I must change the name of lots of my files, because it's too large (more than 8 characters). If I must do that for all my SND on my 60, it's a new nightmare!
And I've tried to convert from SND to WAV with RS16-X and MPC Editor, and it doesn't work (in the other way, from WAV to SND it works... ....) Is it normal doctor?

Edit: I've put my 60's snd in a MPC2000XL, put them on a new Zip in the 2000, and after that I've transfer them on my mac, and now Rs-16x can convert these files in WAVE format...!
The 2000XL make a conversion of the 60 snd to 2000 snd which allows the software to convert... very complicated!
SND>MPC60>MPC2000XL>MAC>RS-16X>WAVE! Ouch!
Next nights will be long!

My nightmare continue: 3 days after starting to change each name of my samples into 8 characters, and convert my 60 sample in a MPC2000XL from SND to WAV and put them on my computer,
I've realized that these muther****ers are pitched 7 tons up!!!
So the conclusion is:
IT S IMPOSSIBLE TO CONVERT A 60 SND TO WAVE, in a 2000XL, neither in RS-16X or MPC Editor...
I think the 12-bit to 16-bit conversion make it impossible.
I've lost 2 weeks....

when you load the sound from the 60 floppy disk in the 2000xl, I am pretty sure it is converting it while loading it.... that is why it takes so long.

you should have just recorded the sounds on the computer and used recycle or something...

or even audacity you could have pushed every pad and chopped it up after.... it would have been one wave file per song that needed to get chopped.

Yes it takes few seconds when loading in the 2000XL, but it's still a SND.
When I load samples from 60 zip to 2000XL, there's no problem.
The problem comes when I save the SND in the 2000XL in WAV format.

As you say, I think I will sample direct from the MPC60 out to my MOTU, and
abandoned the idea of transfer... I'd like to transfer because as I'll work far from my studio
on different stages, I'd like to travel with all my 60 samples, in order to browse easier in my laptop,
with Maschine...

yeah that is what I thought.. that sucks... I cant think of a fast way of doing it.

the worst part is, if you would be trying to do the reverse it would be faster haha.
