I always search before posting. but can anybody answer my question about sampling from a CD on the 4k? my levels are so low.

And as far as sampling CDs from the build in drive there isn't much you can do. If you have a external drive then you have to increase the gain at the source. Or third load the cd in your computer import into a audio editor increase the gain and drag into the mpc via aksys.
Download the manual as it is your mpc and need to learn your gear.
