The thing is though mate you got your opinion confused with fact, it's nothing to do with peoples' egos and comments like that only make you look bitter.

Great, deliver some knowledge to the forum, I always welcome knowledge on new gear as long as its well founded and fairly impartial, but don't come on here going... ITS BETTER ITS BETTER IT GOES FAR BEYOND... because that's just asking for criticism.

It'd be far more useful to us if you simply made a quick 5 minute video telling us why you like the Maschine and show us some of your favourite functions.

Oh... it doesn't do midi sequencing does it.

Maschine does do MIDI sequencing. Maschine can sequence multiple hardware just fine (up to 16 MIDI channels currently) and recognizes multiple MIDI ports.

1. midi data is serial
2. ... therefore timing is effected using one cable and over multiple channels (this can most definitely can be heard, e.g when layering up arpeggios from multiple hardware synths over a beat from the mpc whilst syncing up a TR808)
3. mpc has four dedicated midi out ports
4. PC midi timing on current OS's is shocking, no matter how streamlined you make it
5. no need for five. Nuff said.

I'm not knocking Maschine, it's fine. I'm knocking every post you've ever made stating that mpc's are worse than maschine. Unless you've ever used JJOSXL and required tight midi sequencing stop with the NI nonsense. This is an mpc forum. We don't wanna hear you whining any more.

Anyone using an 11" MacBook Air for serious music production is a joke! It'd be like someone putting Pro Tools on a netbook!

My point being that your DA MPC IS A BRICK BRUV comment was hugely unfounded because given a few hundred gramms either side there's very little difference. Shut the door on your way out son.

Wrong. First off, the Macbook Airs can't be compared to lowly "netbooks". The Macbook Air comes with Intel Core 2 Duo processors and in combination with SSDs, the performance rival similarly spec'd Macbook Pros:

"Among the most interesting observations made in the study is that the new 13-inch MacBook Air actually slightly outperforms the current-generation 13-inch MacBook Pro, a machine that offers a significantly faster 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo processor as compared to the MacBook Air's 1.86 GHz version. This comes despite the MacBook Air with its standard 2 GB of RAM being tested against the MacBook Pro with 4 GB of RAM."

The 11" size is perfect for a light mobile setup and still comes in handy for reference but the reason this works is because you don't need to be looking at the computer screen while using Maschine.

There is much more difference than that in actual use. Maschine can run entirely off the laptop battery and with the Macbook Airs, you get 5 to 7 hours of battery life. The MPC1000 would need to add far more than a few hundred grams of some modded external battery solution to achieve the same.

First off, if you're going to be comparing specs at least get up to date comparisons. The new MacBook Pro's all have Sandy Bridge processors, which blow away the Core 2 Duo.

First off, those benchmarks were done when the SDD Macbook Airs first came out and were being compared to then current Macbook Pros. Obviously both the Macbook Pros and Macbook Airs will keep getting up to date with specs that blow away the previous models. Duh.
