I've recently updated from os2xl version 1.41 i believe to the latest version. So i've missed a lot of updates, but from what i remember there was no delete option in the load screen, and I realized this the hard way, twice when trying to load a program, i hit delete instead, now those programs are gone, with no way of bringing em back. So I'm just wondering why this was added, did somebody request this feature, is there any use in having the ability to delete in the load screen? For now its a bit annoying and frustrating having that there, but im sure i'll get used to it, but in the meantime i hope i don't delete anymore of my best samples.

i agree! save-screen was alway the "be careful not to hit the delete-button"-Screen.... i dont like to have it in load-screen too.

I'm one of the members who requested it.

Curiously I noticed in the past that when I wanted to delete something it was 95% of the time in the LOAD MODE so it makes the workflow slower to switch between the 2 modes just for that.

Just in case you didn't pay attention there is a confirmation screen before erasing. Sorry to hear that you lost your precious files. If you didn't have the time to back-up them maybe you could try to use a software that recovers files.

yea thats true i feel you about the work flow slowing down, and its good to be able to preview a sample before you delete, and thats prolly why 95% of the time you wanted to delete was while in load mode, but now it is possible to preview your samples in the save screen, which wasn't possible in earlier versions.. so no need to have delete in both screens..

I see what you mean.

I use it in another particular way too. I always resample my songs with the main outs to have a premix version and I often come close to the RAM limit.

So usually I delete old stuff at the next start-up when I need to do a new rendering.
That comes from the fact that the PURGE function is quite an unflexible tool.
