MPC4000 first gen vs MPC1000?

Hi,

I have found a couple of good second hand MPC's. One is a MPC4000 with 8 outs effects board and software 1.71 and the other is MPC1000 with jjos2 and 75gb hard drive....

They are roughly the same price, so am having a hard time deciding which would be better. I have external gear and currently use a MPC2000 classic.

Any help would be great .

um... the 4000... it's worth more, and it is probably better for controlling external gear which you have...

I'd be dubious of a 4k that's being sold for the same price as a 1k.

If you can test it out it could turn out to be a steal.

A 4000 that works is worth more than any 1000, with or without JJOS.

I'm a 1000 user, but 8 outs... priceless IMO. Go for the 4000 if it's in good nick.

that's probably cuz the 1k he's looking at is overpriced, you can score 4k on cl for around 9 bills now days

man if that 4k is in working order and its priced the same as a 1k, you probably already missed the deal because any one of us would have probably scooped it by now lol
