Instructional Videos

I am a new MPC owner interested in doing Hip hop, dancehall, dance music
NB. I have now formal training in Music and find the AKAI manual very confusing does any one now of any good instructional videos.

I know of Samplekings video are their any others and if so which is the best?

I visit this forum regulalry and also pick up tips and tricks.

The Sample Kings video does not help one bit....honestly.

The best way to learn the MPC (in a more than basic way)....is to read the manual over and over and just practice along side of the MPC....
ALso, you did the right thing with coming to this forum. I have been on it for about 4 months and learn something new everyday. This forum is about 100 times more valuable than that manual to me....and i'm sure you'll find it to be the same.

Also, just "practice" on the MPC...just play aorund with sounds and beats and samples...you'lll be fine

i agree with entouraj, the videos wont really teach you anything that u wont learn here, but if you are complete lost and dont have the patience to learn by practice cop the video and u might be able to learn how to make a basic pattern in less time than if u were just trying by yourself. if i was u though i would cop some samples with the money instead. 1

whoa doc at samplekings has two mpc 2000xl videos , if u dont know the machine to well new producer cop both of them. they are on dvd and damixx is putting out a 4000 video soon , that u will wanna cop also. as far as coping sounds the only ones u should have to buy are the tutors breaks and bass for 15 dollars.

I have both Sample King MPC2000XL Videos. I have not finished viewing the second video yet. I think the videos will be helpful to someone who has little to no experience with the MPC. I would not say that they are of absolutely no value at all. There are at least a couple of things to learn on them. I would agree that this forum is by far the best site that I have come across for MPC users. While we're on that subject, I wish the MPC-Tutor would reconsider making an instructional video. With the wealth of information made available by this site, a video of that magnitude would be invaluable. Maybe we could pre-order the video and that would give an idea of how many people are interested also, provide the money necessary to produce a video. Just an idea...
