So why are you quoting it as though it is current and relevant information when it is quite obviously outdated? ???

Even in those irrelevant speed tests, the 11" (which you were endorsing) is not in any way a match for the basic 13" MBP. Even a child could see that 106 is a higher number than 85. Duh.

Oh... it doesn't do midi sequencing does it.

Maschine does do MIDI sequencing. Maschine can sequence multiple hardware just fine (up to 16 MIDI channels currently) and recognizes multiple MIDI ports.

1. midi data is serial
2. ... therefore timing is effected using one cable and over multiple channels (this can most definitely can be heard, e.g when layering up arpeggios from multiple hardware synths over a beat from the mpc whilst syncing up a TR808)
3. mpc has four dedicated midi out ports
4. PC midi timing on current OS's is shocking, no matter how streamlined you make
5. no need for five. Nuff said.
