Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

I know this is something that has been discussed before, but I thought I would give it another go. Stuff like Audio Tracks, Mixdown convert song to audio(both on jjos2 and xl) and streaming from hd(5k), if these things were implemented in a new OS Update I know me personally I would go nuts. I would easily pay 100.00 or more dollars for something like this. I know it is possible if it is in os2 and XL2 for JJOS and the 5k, so I know it's not a problem. Would it really be all that difficult to get ahold of the os or copy it or something(excuse me if this is a dumb question, as I know nothing about programming). I mean if all of us 4k owners payed 100.00 for this update that would bring in thousand and thousands of dollars, and I am sure just about every 4k owner would want to get in on it. I am dying to hear some feedback on this with what you guys think because I was just reading old threads(page 60 something) where guys were talking about a new update with audio tracks about to hit soon, man wouldn't that have been nice. Sorry if this is a bad topic or useless, like I said I am just curious, and have faith.

A new or alternative OS would be an interesting prospect, but don't hold your breath.

Some enterprising whizzkid could potentially make a lot of dough out of doing so.

the mpc 4000 works just fine as it is.

Cosign, although a new OS is an interesting thought (which has been discussed to death in the forums)!

To my experience the MPC4000 offers top sound with full keygroup sampling and thanks to many dedicated buttons a good workflow.
I'm not missing that many of the JJ features which I experience on the 2500. My personal choice is still the 4000.

I spend most of my time making music. And I didn't say it didn't work, I said there's other features I would like, and spend money on

I would love to see some of the extra functions of JJ Os in the 4k (quantize strength is the main thing I guess)
I'll check if I can get in contact with some programmers and see if the can figure this 4000's os out. And maybe add some stuff to it.

Good luck with that. After thinking this over , I feel like I was being COMPLETELY naive in writing this post. I do not think anything like this would ever happen. Unless someone was sure they could make a specified amount of money doing it without a doubt, then I don't think it would happen. It would be nice to take a vote to see who would pay and the maximum amount they would pay, but like I said I feel I was extremely naive and being really optimistic. New features and everything would be nice, but the way the 4k already is , is fantastic, it is such a wonderful machine. I think if there was a chance of anything happening to the machine OS it would've materialized already, I mean the machine is how old now? Anyways, do let us know though if something positive does materialize!

That's nice for you. How do you know how much time I spend making beats and how much time I spend thinking about the OS? Lets try and keep it to useful information instead of this crap.

by responding like this, you are filling the thread with just as much crap.
