Copy files From..

I recently installed a 16GB Internal Solid State Drive from scsicardreaders.com. It works very well. I also have the internal zip drive working along with my new SSD.

I would like to move the folders/Files that are on my zip disks to the internal SSD.
Now the only way i can think to do this is loading up the contents of a single folder from my zip disk, creating a folder of the same name on the SSD and then saving the data to that folder on the SSD. It works but it sucks!


my question: is there an easier way to transfer all my zip folders to the SSD given my current hardware configuration?


FYI, I have searched but couldn't really find any answers.

well maybe you could do that via computer...

do you know if it's an internal solid state drive or a compact flash card in an adapter? either way you could do it via computer...

other then that I cant think of a way to really transfer stuff.

its a a compact flash card in an adapter. its internal though, my zip drive is still installed and working fine.


I guess I was just hoping that I would be able to just straight transfer from point A to point B with out all kinds of complications.

It seems like an easy bit of functionality.

You need a usb zip and a usb card reader.

Plug them both into your computer then put the zip in the zip and the card in the reader (even if it's internal, take the card out to do this).

drag.

drop.

done.

don't do this on mac if possible, use a pc. otherwise you will need to delete hidden files that mac creates.

then throw your zip drive out the window and never use it again.

Just so everyone knows I didn't leave him hanging, I already explained the same thing noggin did. USB Zip and USB card reader - take the CF card out of the SSD, out it into the USB card reader and drag-and-drop the stuff on his zips straight to the CF card. When done, put the CF card back into the SSD.

Isn't it amazing how little thought most of the sampler makers put into things like moving files? Only Kurzweil provides much at all in the way of file management capabilities.

lol, hey! I got the email you sent me about this issue. you have been very helpful with my questions. I was just checking here in case anyone had some brilliant way to move files that I hadn't heard of.
