Can some one tell me if there is a way to use the "Note Off" Function so that on each Pad when I sample a sound and hit the Pad it plays all the way thru only when i hold the pad. Also "Note Off" is how to make the sample stop playing as soon as you let go the pad!

Please give me some Insight on this I am very new to the 1000 and this will make my creative process a lot easier!!!

Thanks for your time in Advance!

That is how it is done on the MPC 2000 but for some reason in the MPC 1000 Parameters function it only has a Mono and Poly option!!

Is there another way to do it?

If you put the loop on in the trim screen (trim->loop(f2)) and then in program press 'window' in the sample selection spot and change it from 'one shot' to 'note on', it should work.

you dont even have to do the trim page. just put the sample onto a pad, and hit open window on the samples name. Note off is actually refered to as "Note On" on the 1000.

Heres a fun little bit of info... How to Make Delay! Like TB said, if you go into Trim, and set the loop ON (which is normally not needed) and you go into the decay and set it to 100 youll have a long delay like echo of the sample. You can hold it down to loop, and as soon as you let go, it fades out. Adjust the decay less and you get a quicker fade... have fun
