Korg Kronos Keyboard Workstation: Just bought a new toy!

That is the word. I was trying to get the ol' lady to finance it for me so I could make monthly payments (can't get credit in Japan). This would allow me to fit it in my monthly spending budget we agreed upon. But she told me no..so the hell with that agreement. I have 258,000 yen ($3225) in hand for that keyboard this weekend if it is available as reported. But I also have it pre-ordered from US retailer...several hundred dollars cheaper I might add. Whomever has it first gets my money. My Fantom G going up for sale...

Rome, why don't you keep the fantom g too?

I'm pretty sure it would help bring your arsenal a bit of variety.

It is collecting too much dust and I would much rather find it a good home. It had so much promise but Roland didn't capitalize on what they had...only 3 expansion boards in 3 years (versus dozens of JV and SRX boards for older Fantoms)...weaker sampler (Fantom X and MV are better samplers)...worst file system of any modern workstation (extremely difficult to import samples). The only plus is that it has a beautiful screen and nice GUI...and sounds great, but the average workstation sounds great.

In the past..I would have just kept it. But times are hard. lol And the Kronos costs $1000 more than what I really want to pay for it.

I am trying to get the ol lady to sell it here in Japan because I will make out better. But if she doesn't..it is going on ebay to the highest bidder no reserve.

More than likely............yes.

But probably not off the bat. Maybe when there's some sort of incentive or rebate thrown in where I can't ignore the fact of owning one.
