$1500 at BestBuy in June. 1000 units only.

http://beatthang.com is the new site, but mostly contains hyperbole (i.e. most powerful machine ever!) and very little in the way of real specs.

It looks hot, but at 1000 units I think it is on a dead evolutionary branch of the music hardware tree. Support? Forget it. Parts? Good luck.

If I had the cash, I think I'd just buy a 1000 with JJOS.

With $1500, you can get a refurbished MacBook, Maschine, and USB audio interface.
Their marketing ploy reminds me of diet pills, just hype, no factual info.

Also I don't believe Best Buy would carry product that are made only 1000 units.
And, to me, the design is so tacky... High-power blue LEDs are hush to eyes, it'll be very annoying and distracting to focus on music.

They had to get the most faggish mofo to promote it too. Dallas Austin is a crook and a booty ninja!

But they say "birds of a feather....:

I've just watched the video on clip on Beatthang.com. It was just Beat Kang BS as usual, just style, absolutely no substance.
Again, they don't show us no in-depth demos, like Mr. Dave Smith and Mr. Roger Linn did with Tempest drum machine.

It just doesn't make sense to me, I don't think anyone would buy this rubbish thing.

In all fairness, I don't think it's that bad of a product. I just think that they have always done a shitty job of marketing this thing.
