MPC

OK I've blazed through the manual I got midis for my MPC its being recognized by FL Studio. Great! Now one problem: why is it that my USB signal to my computer isn't being received? I understand that the USB is for data transfer. Well I'd like to throw some samples on my MPC but it ain't working! I dunnow hat the problem is. Was there a CD to come with the MPC to data trasnfer? This is a brand new USB so i don't know what's wrong. Need some constructive feedback. THank you all!

Did you go into USB mode? You can't miss it because it locks up the entire MPC while it's activated.
(Chapter 17 p112 of the manual)

Also, all the USB mode does is allow your selected drive (Compact Flash Card or internal Hard Drive) to appear as a removable disk on your desktop. What I mean is you have to put whatever stuff you want to transfer onto the CF card or HD in the MPC.

Thanks for the reply I figured this out though already. Now I have an even worse problem! That of no sound coming out fo my MPC! The manual says I need headphones but my friends MPC makes sound without any headphones.. Any idea as to this?

You need headphones or speakers. There is no other way to get any sound out of your MPC.
