Single sine-wave for basslines

I've heard that you can make some dope basslines by pitching a sine-wave...

Does anyone know a song (or a link on the internet) where I could sample a sine-wave?
Or does someone perhaps have a sample(s) that they would be willing to give to me?
I'd appreciate it...

Do you have cool dit pro or sound forge? You can make your own sine waves in those programs. I use sound forge and i do it all the time. Yes, you can make your own superdope basslines, mix and merge it with other deep sounds (for me usually a low string mixture) and come up with very interesting basslines.

You can make a bass out of a Sine wave in Pro tools also. And I don't know if anyone has tried this but you can also make a bass with a tom sample by tweeking the tune and freq's on your MPC 2000xl or 4000

i use soundforge and have never done that. what is the best way to go about doing that in sf?

Press Ctrl/N(New File)> click on the Tools tab> Synthesis> Simple> the rest is pretty self explanitory.

try making a 40hz sine. and fade it in (just a little) and out (a bit more) till it looks all nice and audio. very low.
