I think they went overboard with the design but it looks like a good tool for tweakers.

looks dope kinda maschine meets korg esx meets sp12 dope we need more hardware units that are tightly integrated with software to the point u can just look at the hardware and perform all functions.
maschine still rules that arena 1.6 bodied the whole industry if u ask me and 1.7 looks like they fine tunning the concepts more.
but i take it u can load other samples besides drums to the pads so shit will defo rock like a lil sp12 but bet the filters sound good.

I was in West LA Music the other day and they have the Spark on demo. I was surprise at the build. Solid... got some weight to it. i believe it's a metal body not plastic like it looks. at least not all of it. Didnt check any further though.
