Just picked up a mg614, audio is fine, tape record works, sounds sweet. I can eq the main outs of the 2000xl on the mg614 and here the results. But for some reason the sounds coming out of 8 outs don't seem to come through the mixer. Im running 4 channels through an 8 channel snake rca with those same 4 colors into the mg inputs. I want to be able to hit the pads on the xl and adjust the eq on each individual track on the mg while the audio is coming out of the mg614. In the 2000xl mixer I have each pad set up 1,2,3,4, in mono ect. I've looked at the both manuals xl/mg614 and no luck. I also looked at the MPC-Tutor beatmaking on the 2000xl manual and it said when connecting to a mixer you have to connect the 8 outs as well as the stereo outs. The problem with that is that the mg614 doesn't have an audio in besides the main inputs tracks 1,2,3,4 and inputs 5,6. It does have an aux in but thats in 1/8 not 1/4 rca. Any help would be great with this issue. Thanks

Yea all the channels are all maxxed, tried it on stereo 1/2, 3/4 ect, mono 1,2,3,4 ect and I don't hear a thing. Its so weird, I take one of those input cords and run it out of the main stereo out hit all the pads and it works fine but the second its in the 8 outs all I hear is static from the mixer. I want to be able to eq different sounds on different channels not just on one channel for every single pad I have a sound on.

you have to assign PADS to outputs in the MPC mixer screen. INDIV screen.

Don't get that confused...it's not 'tracks' based on an mpc. it's pad based.

then those pads will go out whatever out you choose, and into the channel on your board.

I know thats what I've been doing, indiv a1-1/2, a2-3/4, ect. I just tried it with my dj mixer 2 and I get no sound at all. Im thinking I installed the expansion board wrong or its defective. This is the first time using the 8-out in the two years since I've installed it.

this isn't the first time I've read about a problem like that.... I think some people have defective units and resell them.

I suggest opening it up and making sure the connections are in properly etc...

yeah it happens... vibration, expansion/contraction ... etc. same thing happened to my 60, except the whole thing was going nuts with screwed up characters out of nowhere... i would reboot and it would be okay... then back to jitters. So I opened it up and some cables were a bit loose. I took everything apart and reput it all back and she works fine again.
