a man get a autoshop to paint it just get the primer and the paint and let the auto shop put all that stuff on and then get a clear coat that they use for coats man,, this last month has been a project for me man i messed mine up 3times before going to do it the right way. well man, i got it done by myself and i ended up running out of paint, then when i try to put more paint on, it got uneven. the second time i got that right but then my clearcoat ran out and splattered, and so i had to get it done, then i went to this one autoshop that was bootleg as hell and they got me to use the clear coat the is from the testors clearcoat hobbby shop stuff and then he didit again because it did not look right. i got the plastic face bar to look goood so i never had to mess with that again for some reason that was the only thing that i got to look good at the time. so he did it again, resanded it got all the paint off,, he didnot prime it any of the times, he just painted it , and it was even but tghen he sprayed the clear coat, when he sanded it ,, i had all kinds of scratches on it but it looked kinda cool and i toook it home, and got it done for free so i started looking for labeling and when i went to places i started noticing chips of paint to come off as i would grab it to show people the face plate and then u know my ring might have touched it slightly when puttinng it back and it would chip to find out that dude who did it before did not Sand and prime it all the way down. i couldnot live with myself knowing that the piece of equiptment that ive been wanting since 9nth grade was ruined . But,,, i got it done right ,, i went to another body shop and i got specific with them i said i need this face plate sanded down smooth ,, i need to get it painted evenly and they got me to take the screen off of my mpc 2k original because whe dude painted it i just taped the screen so it was separating the plastic screen from the aluminum chasis and i would not paint the screen but if you paint a 2k original, you have to take the screen out its just like rubber cement or glue gun glue. then i toldf them after they sand it to wipe it clean and when they did that it was cleaned with laquer thinner and soapy water, it wasnt even any scratches on it and then they primed it with the auto primer that they had and it dryed under the heatlamp shortly after they painted it with the paint that i got from the hobby shop, it is from a company call testors and they let it dry under a heat lamp like they do the cars,( i told them to do every thing they do to a car but buff it because the buffer would jack up the aluminum case) then after it dryed i had to pay 30 dollars and that was just for the clear coat stuff that they had to get from an auto paint shop , i dont know which one but it was the same stuff they used on cars man and after it dryed man awwe man it was like forat man it was smooth and didnot chip at all, i let it dry for a few more days just to be safe. my friend owns a sign shop and he made me a logo to put on my 2k and it was cool in vinyl sticker he did it and it is all good man i have to post pictures but may point is to be specific on what u want and how u want it done. next week i will get the letters screen printed on the 2k courtesy of the template files that was given to me by dj james, big ups to that dude and uknow its all good now hope i could help peace
