No man your right, I CLEARLY don't care about bashing gear. If it sucks it sucks if it's good it's good. I've seen the vids I know the posts I also know I don't really care. It's not the tools being used it's the user. Beatkingz is just a face for a product. You're supposed to talk sh*t about how good your product is that's what every company does. They set out to do exactly what they wanted and your all falling right in line behind them. This is the MPC forum they want to make an MPC killer. Their supposed to ruffle your feathers. Judging by how many pages of hate pop up everytime they're name or device is mentioned I think they are doing a good job at marketing the product. Most products that don't hit market right away get forgotten after being debuted but you guys stayed in touch and keep it alive. If it wasn't for that interest of hate the Beat thang would be unkown and forgotten.


Truthfully With the MPC users, ASR users, and the dedicated Roland SP users out there the Beat thang isn't going to steal anyone away. It cost too much and their going after the wrong target audience. They should be marketing the ultimate "groove" drum machine and going after the SP series. Anyone with an MPC or an ASR isn't going to drop it for a Kang box. I mean did the SB-246 make you throw out your samples? If anything your going to jump over to a Mashine because of it's convenience. The SP users would be their best target. It looks more like something they'd adapt to easily.

All I'm saying is that there's no point in bashing gear that's not a threat to what your already using. If someone picks up a Beatthang and finds it suits their style than that's them. It's just the best tool they found that works for them. The same reason ASR users never went to an MPC. They like what they found already. It comes down to the user and what they do with the tool.


I haven't seen so many MPC users get their panties in a bunch since the announcement of the Mp-7 and we all know that failed because it didn't have a sampler.

Should of though that was a good box. I sold mine and brought another MPC.

Anyways, it the gear bashing is a result of the bullsh*t attitudes the "Kangs" came out the gate with. Talking about battling, talking about slapping cats, writing diss tracks and thats just the "kangs" ...forget about the gear...

Now fast forward to when they had the BTV...and got a few members to buy that buggy, half-developed piece of software with no support. More specifically a customer who complained about the software and was told by the "kangs" that he should buy a new computer lolol.

Fast Forward a little more to the pre orders and the first advertised price with youtube videos showing a blingin' transformer looking gadget with misprints on the prototypes and the "kangs" still talking sh*t online.

Final fast forward will put you to this thread...so yea...Like I said, you CLEARLY dont know what you are talking about. There is a little ugly history between the community and them. Because they came HERE with their product and tried to kick in the door like they had the answer to every beat makers dream. After all this nonsense, yes...whenever you see a thread of theirs you will see these types of responses.

Being from the UK, when someone mentions Jersey I always think of the South Park episode..

I played a couple of gigs in Jersey last year. First time in the US.

One was exactly like Jersey Shores, dry sex on dance floor (plus climaxes), people jumping up on stage getting 3somes on, tops off, jumping on stage miming lyrics and getting completely smashed. This was all before 3pm on a Sunday too.
