Dear All fellow MPC users.
I hereby declare my love for my new hardware the Akai MPC 1000 With JJ OS 3 point-something installed.
I just bought it used for a good price and now I want to hook it up to my Macbook Pro using Logic Pro 9.
I have search the net for several tutorials on how to setup the device with my sequencer, in this case Logic Pro 9. But yet I haven't found any useful tips or guides. Therefor I'm asking you guys for your guidance and expertise.
This is what my goal is:
Use Logic Pro 9 and setup 16 tracks. Each pointed to the different pads on the MPC.
I then want to use different Instruments on the tracks, like the ESX 24 to use for some drum samples I have. And then some others tracks for some Virtual Instruments like single piano notes etc. And I want to create MIDI tracks (Notes) on my Logic Tracks, not Audio tracks.
This is what I bought so for to make it work.
Logic Pro 9
MPC 1000
A MIDI In/Out -> USB caple
If you guys can write or link to a well explained guide on how to do the setup, needed drivers, software etc. I would be more than happy!
In advance I want to apologize for this NEWBIE question. The reason might be that I'm from Denmark, and the manual provided doesn't seem to provide this kind of information, and the information in Danish are extremely thrifty.
Thank you very much.
