Hi,
i very much would like to see an iPad App with the functions of JJOS.
I had an mpc 1000 and i purchased the jjos2 Code...i love this os...

So is it somehow possible for Japanese Jenius to create an App that looks like an MPC (maybe 2000xl) and has the functionality of JJOS XL.

I would pay 50 bucks for this Solution....

do that and offer midi outs + sample interface and regular outs, etc. and you got a sweet infinately upgradeable machine.

since iOS 4.2 you have coremidi support...so you can plug in any midi controller and use it with GarageBand or other midi supported Apps...
I Love TouchOSC and Logic...really beautiful...but i hope akai would build an mpd app with pads and things like note repeat...

JJ made his jj-sequencer...port this to iOS and You're almost done...

was the interface terrible or was the function of it terrible? the interface can be improved, the GUI could be made gooey, the important accomplishment is that the functionality is nice and solid.

exactly what im talkin bout, but **** a synth, give us an mpc with better pads. this is definately in the right direction and i bet they're testing the waters with the synth.

check this out, found it at the bottom of the akai page for this product

"Software developers interested in creating programs compatible with SynthStation49 can submit an application now at SynthStationApp.com."

we should build our own shit!

i got an iPad a couple weeks ago (1st gen refurbished from Apple). originally i just got it to use as a MIDI controller to run TouchOSC and control a hardware synth. but as soon as i got it home and started using it i got totally addicted to it and wanted to use it for everything! there is something about the form factor that just makes you not want to put it down (it is small but not too small. very sturdy and solid which makes you not afraid to carry it around everywhere and toss it around a bit). browsing the web on this thing is amazing. it makes the whole web seem like a magazine or something. youtube is awesome. videogames are awesome. you really wont understand it until you start using it for yourself. it took me totally by surprise.

i'm not gonna lie: after a few days i started looking around for an MPC replacement that i could run on the iPad.
( sorry forum! sorry MPC! )

there is nothing really quite there yet but a couple apps are heading in that direction: Beatmaker, Looptastic HD, Gruvtron, Electrify, Aurora... main thing missing right now for me is the ability to record & playback MIDI CCs. i don't think Akai is going to do anything decent but a 3rd party developer is definitely going to come up with some amazing stuff. only a matter of time.

ps - unrelated to the MPC but if you have an iPad do not sleep on this INCREDIBLE app called 'synthX' !

The interface was bad and the functionality was also bad.

You can probably still get hold of it from somewhere, but it's one to avoid.
