hello mpc-people,

I am thinking about to buy a mpc1000, but I'm not really sure if it is the right thing for my situation....
Maybe I explain my setup which I want to take on stage....

Firstly there are two drum machines...707 & 909. the 707 is also controlling an sh101. then I want to sequence two other synths with midi data from the mpc. Moreover I would like to use some backing tracks which are in sync with the midi stuff and the drum machines, actually I am not sure if this is possible, also when the master tempo comes from one of the drum machines and the tracks are all longer than five minutes???? hm sorry for my english, hopefully someone understands what my intention is....

The main problem for you is the MPC memory limit. It can only hold about 24 minutes (mono) of audio (or 12 minutes of stereo audio). I recommend a multitrack recorder (with MIDI sync) for your backing tracks. Something like a Roland VS-880 or Akai DPS-12.
