I need help with the 4k and Vista (Blue haze or Dab)

I can't pull up aksys, and what i really wanna do it transfer files from the pc to the mpc, but cant get the 4 recognized

This is because you may need to download & install the usb driver first.

If it's that you don't see ak.sys when you click on the icon, then you may need to check whatever conflict that's going on with your comp that's preventing this from happening.

both aksys and the usb driver only read as system files on Vista, I went there first, but still can't figure it out, Is this even doable on Vista?

Yes it is I believe it is, did you try installing them manually>

Lampdog made an extensive thread about getting this to work... It could have been with Windows 7 though.

Still worth checking out if you can find it.

Aksys Does not work with 64 bit OS! They never made 64 bit drivers, I am positive, I researched it to no end bro, I would not shit you

Sorry guys I use a Mac computer. Seems like Lamps instructions should work but I myself don't know about 64 bit windows.

I have much respect for Lamp, but the akai usb drivers cannot be installed on 64 bit vista system, manually or any other way. no worries i don't need ak.sys

won´t work, you need to install Windows XP mode in order to get Aksys working. Had to do so aswell, now when I start xp mode on my 64bit windows 7 Aksys is working fine
