Is there a way to play your sequences and mute individual tracks live at will? I know you can use the track mute function but that doesn't allow you to drop samples in and out in real time - a sample will continue to play and won't mute itself til the next time it starts again. Do I need JJOS for this?

I'm not really sure what you're asking. Say, on a drum track I'll use the fkey to do live mutes. Samples are a little trickier, depending on triggers and how you have them sequenced. But to cancel samples, live or sequence-wise, I always set a blank pad to the same mute group under program & parameters. You can do this one by one or for a group, then you can cut samples live or programmed. There's no cutting back in though, you'll have to chop it up and whatnot.
