like both those beats, the second one was chill as hell, like some early shadow type ish. 
The 4k only has 256 cause one of the ram chips got damaged, no big deal though, i still have 17 min of record time which is plenty.
Switch is crucial to my work flow as well, but when i had the 25 i ran bluebox instead of mpc 187, never used it though so i can't compare and contrast, sounds like they do the same thing, i loved the auto chromatic midi option on blue box though.
I have an 80 gig drive, but think it goes to 120?? not sure cause the 80 is enough for me.
