thats the problem. there is gonna be all these "knock offs" but not developed by someone like jjos who knows whats up and with a community like this. know what im sayin?

we all should put our heads together, come up with some specs, like a think team or something and then potentially see what happens from there?

Please give this shit up. I remember when JJ went off for a year working on the computer suquencer that no one wanted. There are several apps out there if that's what your looking for. Let JJ do his thing and juice up my Mp....

Whatever... The way I see it, if you can afford to waste money on an ipad (or any underpowered and overpriced Apple gear) you might as well buy an mpc. Interface + software is everything and mpc interface + JJOS >>>>> ipad interface + JJOS for a sampling drum machine.

p.s. I'm not starting a war on PC vs Mac. I'd love a mac for the reason that they look good, but they are way, way underpowered and overpriced compared to a PC system you can build yourself to run a lot better and faster for less than half the price. The only thing is that Mac's look nicer on your desktop.

Let's see you build a PC laptop comparable to the MacBook Pro for half the price.

I can agree with all the above. but come on. we just suppose to sit here and not take advantage of technology? just cause some one aint done it right doesnt mean its not possible or a bad idea. point is, the potential is there. the potential was there for jjos, and jj took that shit, ran with it, and now look where we are at.....when half us assholes would have been happy with what akai gave us............

Computers are incredable at this stuff. Either Mac or PC. If that's what you use, I'm all for it. I just prefer hardware. I like a dedicated machine. Something I can hold. I was just saying that if you want a software application there are already plenty out there. Keep my mann JJ doing what he does best and let Akai work on software.

ok thx for you answers...

i think this is not the right place to discuss stuff like this..

my idea was:
the ipad or iphone has much more power than any mpc...and if any one could make an app with coremidi support (so you could use a mpd as a hardware controller) that wouldbe the killer...

i think i stay with intua beatmaker 2 and wait for the native ipad version with coremidi support...
this app and a mpd 32 could do almost everything a mpc can do....maybe more...

jj and a good interface designer could beat every app in the appstore...because he has the knowlege!
i would pay 50 bucks for an app like that....

but beatmaker is doing a good job too....

lets see....

sorry guys...my native language is german...

thats exactly it. i think this is the right place to discuss this. I agree 100% with your thoughts.

JJOS is what it is because of JJ and because of us. hate to say it, but if this community didnt support it, test it, complain, ****, love, hate, half the shit would not have happened (not takin any credit away from jj. he is definately the **** man). but the reason JJOS has evolved is because JJ took the initiative and we gave him love, knowledge, and constructive critisim. combine all those elements and you got foundation for Jenius work.

I think you're absolutely right, there is an opportunity with the ipad technology. and I think JJOS could do some mean ass shit with it. couple him with good gui designer, a community that supports him........and you got a mean application that will kill other shit out there.

anyways, peace out.
