help installing new pads

so i caved and got the pad fix
it got here today and im trying to install it via the youtube video
the video seems to be of the older pad fix
i think there is an extra cable that comes with the new one (the cable that attaches the mpc to the board)

just wondering if anyone did this already so they can confirm if i can remove this extra cable


EDIT: i think it just comes with an extra cable
i saw a reply from mpcstuff on a comment on youtube

"Most people just take the new cable off and trash it and use the one that is already there. Usually easier."

Yeah that video is old and you don't need to use that extra cable.

yea i was 99% sure i was supposed to remove it but it was so hard to de-tach from it so i was getting worried lol
