selecting multiple items at once still not possible

I was wondering, it is still not possible to select multiple items at once isnt it??

It would be so much easier when it is possible to select 10 programs or like 32498723948 samples at once and delete them.

Has anyone filed this request yet??

In akSys you can Highlight mulitple samples or programs by pressing and holding the right button on the mouse. Then left click and then select delete.

I bought an mpc, its not an excuse to not implement things in the 4k, i payed 2400euro's for the mpc and not for computer.

The funny thing is.... People dont want to use aksys because they want to get away from a computer interface, BUT... the way you want to use the MPC to "HIGHLIGHT" multiple items is exactly how a computer interface would behave.

I agree though, there should be a way that you could just hold down on the SHIFT button and use the jog wheel to select multiple items, but the Tag feature works in exactly the same way.

You can even INVERT your Tags, or select TAG ALL, then when you go to the delete screen you can select "deleted Tagged items", and since you Selected TAG ALL, everything will be deleated.

First you need to stop thinking of the MPC 4000 OS / user interface as if it were Windows where you can just drag a box around everything and delete

TBH, I really like the ak.Sys stuff. It let's me do a lot more with my 4k. I agree that sequencing on the MPC is much better than on a computer, but I have no problem using a computer to manage things in my studio. I installed a second drive in my computer just to store my sounds on. I now store everything on my computer drive (which is MUCH easier to back up) and use my internal drive just for my current projects.

Also, I really like the drag-n-drop program creation that let's me drag any sample on my computer over to the MPC and just drop it onto any pad I want. Ya can't beat dat!

For me the cool thing about the MPC4k is that you don't have to use a computer - but ya can if ya wanna!

Akasys could be great, but somehow for some poeple akasys doesnt work properly. I cant use it because the usb connection gets lost all the time, and it crashes all the time to.

I hear ya, but ak.Sys seems to work for me. I"ve run it on several different computers and seem to have goo d luck. Early on I would experience loss of USB connection, but recent OS upgrades seem to have improved things dramatically. Of course I now try to limit the sizes of my transfers as well, but this hasn't been a problem for me. Today I reformatted my internal HD on the MPC4k, and transferred just over 1.3 GB in several transfers without a problem. The largest single transfer I did was almost 700 MB without dropping the connection.

Maybe I'm just lucky.
