Help with patched Phrase.

Hi guys,

Been messing around with the patch Phrase option on the 1000, trying to make loops fit my chosen bpm. Managed to do this but the problem I'm having is locating the new sample lol. Basically, after i do the operation, i press the pad where the original sample was and its still plays the original sample. I then press trim, scroll the page and easily locate, the new patched phrase sample, then i go back to Main but still can't locate it on any of my programs. Do i need to re import the new sample, i have tried this but there is no sign of it on my memory card or in my internal memory.

I have read the manual many times, watched videos online and gone through this forum and can't find anything that explains this. I can do the process i just can't figure out why its no playing on my pads.

Any help with this would be amazing.

How do i assign my new copied sample or new phrased sample to a pad, i can only play them in trim mode at the moment??

When your in trim and u have the new pp sample on the screen selected. Hold shift then press a pad

if you hve made a patched phrase and not saved it then it is in the RAM till you save it. Also the program is not automatic, you have to assign thhe sample to a pad in the program, or use shift + PAD in trim mode as Hyperstrike said.

Determine the original tempo first. Chop the sample. Edit as patched phrase. It doesn't automatically assign it to a pad or replace the original sample. It creates a secondary sample. It will have the same exact file name as the original but has a "PP" at the end of the file name. Go to your Trim mode and scroll to the very last sample in there and you will see it. Go back into your program mode and select the pad that you want the patched phrase on, assign it just as you would ANY OTHER SAMPLE. Again, it is usually going to save it as the last file in the memory so you will go to that pad, select the sample, scroll the wheel all the way to the last sample that has the "PP" in the name. Voila.

If you reallize later that you put the wrong original tempo in there then go to an unnused sequence, put the original sample on a pad, play it into the sequencer on the first beat and adjust the sequencer tempo until it loops perfectly. make a mental note of the tempo, go into your trim mode again, scroll all the way to the "PP" sample that you previously created, update the tempo through that window.
