Yo man...I'm happy for you....I just sold my 2500 to go strictly Reason/Record so I know what it's like to have a 2500....so I gotta ask you- I'm hearing alot of good press about Maschine ....especially with 1.6 and VST support. Why did you go back to the 2500....with all due respect...it kinda seems like a move backwards according to the "Maschine Hype"....what made you do it? Just curious.

thanks my man, its my 3rd 2500 and 8th mpc
considering I got live 8 and battery already maschine felt bit redundant and I never really got that connection with it. also latency was becoming a factor around 15 virtual tracks. going all software route did step my game up as far as beats content but it'd feel artificial from time to time and start missing the real thing (MPC). I thought I got over MPC this time around but I never did, always keep coming back. nothing can replace the feel of MPC imo...beats come out differenct on MPC too, more natural in my opinion I feel like I was starting to make some commercial shit using just software need to get back to that soulful shit, Jay, MPC and stack of vinyl

i bought maschine for 480(2nd hand) when it first dropped, now one can be had for as little as 300, opportunity came up to get my moneys worth so I pounced on it...I might pick up maschine again later on for a portable setup and so I dont gotta redo drums on all beats I used it on and that's pretty much every beat for last year and half.

Ah, ok....that makes sense and also sheds some light on Maschine's workflow for me. I gotta admit with all the Maschine hype I've been seeing the thought has crossed my mind once or twice to purchase one but I'm like you being that I don't want redundant gear setting around for no reason. With that said I think you made the right move..... the MPC is rock solid and can always be trusted.
