A S3000XL W/ MPC60 POSSIBLE?

I have a chance to get an s3000xl sampler w 8 outs and max ram for $100...could I use this w an mpc60 w 3.10 as just the sequencer?I wanna be able to have the high sample rates/32mb ram/timestretch/etc and sequencer of the 60 together?is this possible?also could I use the pads on the 60 to play the samples in the 3000xl or will the samples go back to 12bit lo-fi if I do it that way?

No problem. I use racksamplers with my 2000xl all the time. An mpc 60 will be even better as it has more midi outs.
Just run a midicable to the s3000, and a pair (or more ) of audiocables from the s3000 to your mixer or soundcard.

So does this mean I can have the best of both worlds[s3000xl capabilities w the 60 sequencer]?and can I use the 60 pads to tap out the hi-fisamples or will they come out sounding 12 bit?

They will come out 16 bit. The mpc60 will only send mididata to the 3000.

u pretty much control the s3000xl by the mpc. U would have to sample with the 60 then either just use it in the 60 or send it to the 3000xl.

It is a nice combo. I've been running it for about a month now. I found MESA II to be helpful but full of bugs so I migrated to Millenium and all is well. My next 2 pieces to complete my setup is a Akai DPS24 and a ASR-10.
