what do you feel the op1 adds or subtracts to an mpc setup???

I feel that the op1 is a nice loopers tool, has a lotta sick features fm radio records sick synths, epic user interface

anyone have an op1 now and using it with ure mpc? if so how do u like it? ??

£800 dollars is the estimated price.

i think it looks wacky novel retro style gimmick for idiots to show off down starbucks. on a micro-scooter.

FM radio? HA! Are you serious????

"OP-1 comes in a reusable Paper Foam Box.
Great for you and mother earth."

GREAT selling point; who exactly are they aiming this product towards? ill conceived and gimmicky. The demos i've seen are worse than awful.

pretentious toy.

I definitely hear where you're coming from....there is a bit of gimmick laced into this keyboard.... at the same time there's no doubt that there's some new workflow potential in this as far as standalone keyboards go. The price is definitely crazy £800 =1,134.73 USD....In my opinion there's no way it's worth that amount of cash- maybe $400, $500 tops. But even at this price point I'm sure it will sell like hotcakes. I can already see some no talent guys like Odd future using this as there main instrument and wooing the hearts of internet fans.....no disrespect to Odd future fans....but you guys know what I'm saying. :D

If it was around £350 they'd sell shit loads, but at the estimated price they'll struggle.

I saw a vid where the sound was fat and dirty though, and they are also making big claims about build quality etc, so who knows how they'll get on...

Its been out for a while - and as far as I know the initial production run sold out rather quickly.

You won't be able to integrate it into an MPC only setup (other than a sample source) - it only accepts MIDI through USB
