I think he means different patches on each midi channel. But thanks for stating the obvious.....

Thats even if the synth ahs Midi. remember, not all synths have Midi as it wasn;t developed until the 80's. Also remember that analogue synths include transistor and tonewheel organs.

Cross out the word synth and replace it with workstation and then the answer is most of them, as others have mentioned. A 16 part multi-timbral synth is not something you'll see very often.

The only 16 part multi-timbral synth I can think of is an Access Virus, which is part of the reason they are so pricey, yet well regarded.
