Whoever said sidechaining is gay........**** u ill sidechain your muddas head with a pair of gum boots.
Anyway
got a bassline and a kick...............but dont want the ducking effect of all the bass freqs just the ones that clash with the kick.
Ive tried it using auto-filters grouped into hi and lo assigned to both the kick and the bassline with a compressor attached sidechained to duck the opposing freq but its still noticible.
So i got a multiband compressor turned off ,grouped into 3 lo mid hi and attached a compressor to the lo group and sidechained that to the kick which does work.
how do you know what freq to duck on the multiband say 100hz ,how do you duck the whole kick just using the low freqs or do you have to use a compressor on the mid as well.
Someone please help.......................
