Why can't I hear my sequence tempo click through my mixer?

I've got my 4k hooked up to my mixer and I'm trying to record a sequence with the output of the 4k into the mixer and out of my speakers but I can't hear the sequence record click through my mixer.... I can hear everything else... All the samples I have loaded up on the 4k's pads sound fine through the mixer.

When I plug my headphones into the 4k I can hear the click just fine.... Is the click only set to cone out through the headphones and not the main outs... Actually now that I think about it... The 4k isn't hooked up to the mixer through the main outs... It's hooked up through ADAT... Could that be the problem? Do I have to monitor the 4k through the main outs to hear it through my mixer?

Assign the metronome to the desired output.

This should help-

Start from your main screen:

1. Move the cursor to the metronome field (4k screen's upper block; to the far right).

2. Press the Window Button (adjacent to the data wheel), Metronome window will open

3. Move the cursor to the OUTPUT field (located at the screen's bottom)

4. Turn the DATA Wheel counter clockwise until the field reads:L/R

5. Make sure the metronome's volume is at +00.0dB or higher

6. Go to Global Page (button is on the right side of the 4000)

7. Press F3/Configuration
If the MPC 4000 is the slave, then your Digital Sync In: field should read: ADAT IN.

If the MPC 4000 is the Master, then your Digital Sync In: field should read: INTERNAL and whatever is connected to the other end of your optical cables should be set to slave... to prevent the "popping" sound heard when digital units are not in sync.

8. Finally, right below, the ADAT Assignable 8 Outs field should read: 1/2:1/2, but in your case (there is no analog 1/4" cables or XLR Cables connected your Main Outs), so your ADAT Assignable 8 Outs field should read: 1/2:L/R.
