I need to install a better door myself, something heavy and air tight. My walls though, are painted agua-purple, people always expect to see green, don't know why.

Yeah, I picked the color combination. I was trying to go for the feel of my all time favorite Air Jordans, but it's actually a pretty common color combination for studios I've noticed over the last week, just viewing different studio builds on the net. These are the Jordans that inspired my paint though:

I'd really see no outside having joint that like in my crib...where is the flat screen at and game console ?

Flat screen is possible, but game console, NEVER. I hate when it's a bunch of noise in the background while I'm running a session. That shits out of the question. Maybe if I had a two room spot, but in this lab, hell to the no!

Days 35-42. Been a productive week. Got my area rug from eBay. $30 and has a cool music theme. Also, fixed the inner booth door stop. Extended the rubber using a stack of rubber anti-slip pads. Painted the control room walls, ceiling, floor molding, window molding, and entry door. Finished the new molding for the entry door as well as the molding for the control room side booth wall. Got some new Faux Wood blinds in black. And I built some floor to ceiling corner bass traps for the rear wall. And I covered up the gap between the two booth doors with fabric. Also bought a new black leather sofa that's coming in on Wednesday. Still have to build a bunch more panels and beef up the booth doors! But it's about 90% done.

Traps are 24x78.5 at 4" thick.

you are right about that, before we moved in into two bedroom spot where now I got a dedicated room for my gear I used to keep all my shit in the bedroom...naturally my girl would watch tv while I was making beats, used to hate the static noise from the tv in the background while I was trying to work on some music :o

I hear that, looks nice easy to clean but it tend to stick to skin and and easy to develop a sweat spot on the back of your shirt if sat on for too long...I been putting piece of blanket over where Im sitting to prevent from that shit.

@Prah! Yeah, I made sure I sat in all the couches I looked at before I bought. One spot had this same style couch for $100 less, but I passed because he didn't have it in the showroom for me to test. His loss. But this joint is compy. And much of an upgrade from the futon that it replaced!

@Kon! Yeah, I was gonna get the one with the recliners. It was cheaper, but was out of stock til like the 29th. This one is still cool though. And comfy!

Even better. You don't want cats lounging all day in your pad.
