How do I get these sounds to the pads??

So I load the wav samples thru USB to the mpc 500, They're listed on the 500 once I've shut the computer down, so they're there. I can load a certain amount before I get the "not enuff room" message (no 128 upgrade yet, in the mail) but thats not the issue, the issue is, once I load my couple of sample from the load screen, where do I go and what do I do? What do I do after loading them to get them onto pads?? may seem dumb and I'd proly figure it if I read or experiment a bit more but shiiiit, its the techincal era, If I can save myself a whole lot of time by askin y'all and findin someone helpful posts a quik answer solving my problem then why not right?

Too lazy to read and experiment lets me know your music is gonna be wack in the first place. Why don't you trade that MPC for something more productive in your life, like an Xbox360.

So all I really need is someone just to please give me a quik guide here as to which button to press next, no big deal right.. or is it? I've got the samples loaded correctly now where do I go, what do I do to get the sounds to the pads? If anyone with an MPC 500 found it a little tricky too, remember the frustration u felt and help a brother out.
Oh and P.S - I read the manual, I experimented as much as time allowed, dont think Im sum ignorant prick. I'll figure it myself if someone isnt kind enuff to send some guidance first.

ok mate. here is the manual. explain exactly what it is you can't understand about assigning samples to a pad:

Assigning/Reassigning Samples to the Pads

You need to assign samples to the pads in the PROGRAM mode so that you can play the samples with the pads. In this section, you will
learn how to assign samples to these pads and how to change the current assignment.
1. Press the [MODE] button and then the [PAD 6] (PROGRAM).
When you press the [MODE] button, then press [PAD 6] you enter PROGRAM mode. The following screen is displayed:
2. In the 'Edit select' field, scroll to select Sample assign.
The 'Pad number' field will display the currently selected pad (the section which says A1 in the above picture). The pad number will change according to the pad you hit.
3. Select the 'Sample' field and select a sample to assign to the pad.
You can select any sample currently stored in the MPC500’s RAM by turning the [DATA] wheel. You can assign additional samples by selecting the 'Layer' field, and choosing L2 through L4. If you assign samples to L2 through L4, you can play several samples by hitting just one pad.

Anyway I did all the manual says in regard to assigning to pads and it turns out that my problem is with my samples, they aren't there in the sample assign section. I load the folder of samples from computer to MPC and the folder is listed when Im on the MPC's load page, I begin the loading.. I go thru the "clear memory" "replace same file" stuff. I select no. I load as many of my samples as the MPC can handle before its full...... then my dead end appears. I dont know where they are but they're not in the sample assign section... If u know and have time to tell me that would be great but its ok if not I'll figure it out soon enuff, Im just new to this machine and it's confusing at the moment.

mate, i didn't cut and paste from the manual to help you. i did it to rub your face in the fact that you have not read the manual and to humiliate you in front of the rest of the forum.
people on these forums will help you. but not when you lie and say you've read the manual. the answer as to why your samples are not showing up is also in the manual. so read it. check the naming convention for samples and what bit rate etc. samples mpc accepts.

so, as you can see, we are not all good people down here in australia.

Unfortunately, money doesn't substitute for brains.

I think the MPC5000 is the best choice for you. You don't even need the manual, everything is all there at a push of a button.
