MPC 1000 Headphones Very Low Volume Output

I have had an MPC 1000 for over 4 years. With that said, I know how to use it quite well. I'm well aware of the "Other" Function where you adjust the Decibal levels, etc. However, I just recently replaced my Pads which were beat up and not working anymore. Ever since the replacement, the pads work great and the output is fine but my actual Phones Output is putting out a very low output of sound. Even with the Main Volume all the way up, the volume is pale in comparison with the output volume. It used to crank very loud and now it is very soft. This must be an internal problem. Any solutions or has anybody else out there had this problem and found a way to fix it?

I have the same problem so this will be very useful to me. Only difference, i've never opened or "worked" on my mpc ever. It's been like this since the start. I just thought it was my headphones...

so what did you do with it? did you sell it? i having the same problem right now with my 1000

since you said you know your mpc and other function where you adjust the global output of the mpc Im assuming you already did that...when using headphones I gotta have my volume knob cranked up at least 3 quarters way up to be able to hear at decent level.

huh. mine is super loud.
i have my master volme set at -6db.
could it be OS related + settings? i'm on JJOS4.99
headphones? sony mdr-v600. fairly loud headphones.
it would be weird if it's the headphone amp in the machine.

I just checked mine at the -6db setting and I had to put the volume at 50% to hear everything well. Another increment up (1 O'clock) was listenable with a bit more oomph obviously, then at about 2 O'clock I was entering tinnitus territory if were to use it for a while. Quiet room, minimal ambient noise from outside, latest JJOS2XL with Sennheiser HD212 phones ($60 phones but good sensitivity rating, like 102db@1 m/W)

I checked my 2500 also latest JJOS2XL and what I heard was about 1 increment better than the 1000. (11 O'clock on the 2500 same as 12 O'clock on the 1000)

I used a kit I made from a FatLoud library, their sounds hit that sweet spot as far as loudness, in each MPC, with no alterations or edits to the sounds.

Maybe we're all just going deaf. Well if enough people chime in maybe we can determine if it's a internal phone amp issue or not.

btw Im using open ear akg 240 headphones, I was getting much better results using senns hd280

@OP - Are you using the same headphones?

Headphone impedance (resistance/ohms) makes a difference. Apparently, the higher the impedance, the more you have to dial up the volume knob.

I have to have the mpc volume knob cranked up 85%+ with my beyerdynamic DT250's (@250 Ohm).

If you're using the same headphones as before you got the new pads, then I'd take the mpc apart and make sure everything is in order around the headphone output.
