external midi, mute tracks

I know you can do this with JJ OS on the 1000. If I'm in track mute screen the incoming midi controller messages are no longer active. Yes I know I can use my multi settings with the slders and faders. With the 1000 you can designate which is the active track in the mute screen and controll that accordingly. While here does anyron use their 4000 in conjunction with JJOS 1000, reason is, I'm slaving the 1000 via MTC while using the audio tracks on the 1000. It seems to work pretty well (timing). This takes care of my looping job, even as a looper recording guitar licks on the fly.
