Can someone tell me how to get my Reason 4 Rewired beat into Pro Tools? I have the Reason sequencing through my MPC 4000, I really want to play the Reason Instruments through Pro Tools sequencer because Pro Tools is the Master, although I can work around by recording the Reason instruments into the MPC 4000's sequencer...This is kind of cool but I know its not the correct way of doing because Im using Reason as a Sound Module...Although, I dont mind it because now it opens up my possibilities for endless instruments...How do I get the beat recorded into the Pro Tools? I have my Instrument Tracks loaded into my Pro Tools Session and I can hear the Reason instrument Redrum on Track 1 - 5...I have those setup as my drum tracks, and Im trying to use Track 6 on the MPC which is actually Channel 2 in Reason for the Dr. Rex or NN-XT...I just need to record whats being sequenced into the 4000 as an audio track in Pro Tools...Do I need to load up Aux Tracks Bussed to a Audio Track? How do I go about doing that because I am totally confused, I know I ask dumb questions but I get stuck too...

If someone could help with this issue, I would forever be in your debts...

If you want to record Reason instruments on to separate tracks you'll need to wire them directly to the Hardware Interface at the top of the Reason window. These channel #'s will let you know which Rewire channels to select in PT.

I got that figured out but how do I get the beat recorded? Do I make audio tracks or do I make Auxillary then Bus the Auxillary to the Audio Tracks? Thats where Im stuck, I got the MPC and Motif to play sounds on Reason but I cant get the beat recorded...

I prefer to use auxillary between plugins and audio tracks so I would,

bus the output of your reason instrument tracks, 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 to auxillarys, then bus the output of the auxillarys to audio tracks, rec enable, and you should be good to go.

I can set it up and put up a screen shot if your still having trouble.

Yeah can you set up a screen shot? I just need to see how the tracks are bussed and setup...I would Bus the output of the Instrument tracks by selecting the sends to BUS whatever corresponding track, so Instrument Track 1 is Bussed by sending audio from the sends to the input of the Auxillary? Im still confused, I know Im close though...

Good looks, Ima try it later...I tried to bring up the Session and my MPC screen went out, I gotta let it chill for a min...

Might you be able to tell me why I cant record anything from my Motif into the MPC4K...I usually make beats with the Motif and MPC...I had some fantastic chords and when I went to record the pattern the Motif wouldnt record into the MPC...

Maybe try the Propellerhead forums? I am gonna be honest with you YumYumRolex, the questions you ask make me think you're asking the silliest questions that could be accomplished by reading a manual in a second just to get a rise out of people and to waste peoples times. Me thinks you are a troll. Do not feed the trolls people, def. don't spoon feed em either! But just for the hell of it I will take a stab: I don't have Pro Tools but i would imagine you just load the midi from your 4k into a new midi track in pro tools that is sending midi to Rewired Reason and you should be golden. Really though, if you have a legit copy of Reason , why not email Propellerhead or use THEIR forums?

Nah man, I have everything hooked up...I just cant get the audio Im hearing from Reason to an audio track in Pro Tools...that screen shot broke it down better because you have to BUS audio to an audio track which is the step I was missing, thats where I was stuck...Go F yourself...Im not even gonna sweat you right now...You sound silly...I asked a legitimate question...I dont use this site because Im ridiculed for everything I post...I get stuck sometimes too...and let me find you ask a dumb question...You will be persecuted. and FYI...good idea, I didnt know they had a Propellerhead Forum...thats tight...Ima look into that but back to what I was saying...Leave me alone...You are in no position to tell me what is right and what is wrong when trying to use my machine...

I dont think you had your BUS's setup right, Im using everything in Mono and I believe you had everything bus'd in Stereo, But on the AUX tracks...I make those the BUS Input? or do I send The Audio from Reason Tracks to the Bus on AUX tracks 1-10?
