Look what the cat dragged in this week lol
I couldn't be bothered to show the rest of the studio.. most of you already know it and also it's a complete tip at the moment.
So that's a Korg Mini 700s... The Korg mini 700 was Korg's first ever synth released under the Korg brand in 1973 and also the first synth that came from Japan, the 700s is a 700 with a extra oscillator, cool ring modulator, noise source, Filter modulation, longer sustain and came out a year later in 1974.
It sounds damn great and the build quality is amazing, the traveller filter rocks.
As for the EPS-16+ we all know how good those are
I haven't touched the S-3200XL since I had it lol

Nice bro I was just looking at one of those for like 40 dollars the other day... however I got enough keyboards for now lol.

Thanks, I'd pick one up at $40 though even if you didn't want it lol... The value of these things is going up, last year a mint 700s sold for about £800... Some really tatty beaters the other week for about £300.
Going to mod mine soon so it will have CV/Gate inputs so I can sequence it and going to see if I can stick a knob on it which can vary the pulse-with of the square wave, before all that though it needs a serious clean... All the sliders and toggle switches are pretty shagged but it amazingly plays perfectly if the switches don't play up... keyboard tracks great and stays in tune, pretty amazing for a synth from 1974 that's never been serviced I think... My friends mini moog wouldn't stay in tune for more than 10 minutes and the SH-101 albeit usually quite reliable is also a bit cranky now

I love my 700s. Put a little bit of delay on it or some echo and it just sings. That resonant filter is the secret weapon. I will never sell mine.

Absolutely man, it's quite a unique synth. I've been playing it through delay and verb and haven't stopped tweaking that filter since I got it

you cant really tell from the photo but i have mines on their side because the shelf they sit on is so high up from where i sit that if they are standing up the highs just fly over my head lol so on their side they are level with my hear, sounds allot better to mix.
i believe that having them on their side just gives a small sweat spot more narrow sweat spot as the phase is on its side (up and down) rather than standing up (left to right) but dnt quote me lol

That's a good reason. I know most pro studios usually do this to allow the main (Larger) monitors to be heard and not blocked by the small monitors.
