Hello everyone. I have been working with the MPC2500 and ran into some questions about the midi connection between the MPC and my Yamaha MM6.

I am looking to connect the MPC2500 with the Yamaha MM6 so that it would play the keyboard's internal sound.

I have tried several different combinations of the midi cable connections but the one that I have currently is: MM6 midi out ---> MPC midi in (A), MPC midi out (1) ----> MM6 midi in

In the MM6, I have turned off the local control and in the MPC2500, I have put the soft thru field to Omni A (I have also tried Omni-All and As Track).

I also have a Tascam US-144 for my audio interface. I have tried connecting the audio cables from the keyboard to the audio input of the US-144 and I have also tried connecting it to the audio in of the MPC. When I press the keyboard, the Tascam US-144's input L and R light up so I know that something is going through.

However, the result I get is the keyboard only playing the sounds loaded onto my MPC via the keys pressed. I do not get the internal sound of the MM6 at all.

Can anyone tell me what I can do to make this work? (or if getting the internal sounds of the MM6 is even possible through the MPC?)

Thank to everyone in advance.
