I was working on a beat the other day. Just came back to it and the FX that I had aren't there. If I go MODE -> PAD08 MIXER -> FXSEND the tracks that I had FX on are selected with 1 or 2 but if I go to FX1 or FX2 they are both turned off. I was using Reverb and Compressor but I don't remember what I had the settings at.

Does anyone know why these setting didn't save? Is it even possible to save this?

Hi,

how do you save your work usually?
SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY should do the job and remember the effects settings.

Peace

I made the same assumption when switching from saving entire memory to saving individual sequences. Messed me up. Save all sequences/songs should work.

The FX settings at the program level and at the master level are saved at the seq and song level but as the allseq&songs file is usually overwritten and not renamed it's easier to save entire memory in a new folder each time to avoid mistakes.

cyrus> that "config" thing is the system setup. It's like user own default settings.

its best - for me at least 'cos its just 2 steps - to save 'all programs' , then 'all seq&songs'.

because the 'all seq&songs' remembers the fx setups, but beware if u have saved more than one 'all' file to the same folder (ie: if u don't overwrite with subsequent changes).

because i often open a track up by loading the whole folder (not the sub contents) for speed, it loads all 'samples', 'progs' and 'all seq/songs' files in the folder.

but it can load the wrong 'all' file.....'cos it doesn't seem to load the last one saved, but more by some other arbitrary process.
