i believe that having them on their side just gives a small sweat spot more narrow sweat spot as the phase is on its side (up and down) rather than standing up (left to right) but dnt quote me lol

thanks man, i been around for a long time just never signed u till now xD

The Auralex MoPADs do a good job of angling your monitors towards you.

I was thinking about trying them myself. But then I thought, the way I have them now works out well. So I don't wanna spend $40 on the mo pads and them not work out as well.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I've got the opposite problem to you... All my gear is on the same flat surface so I needed to get my monitors angled upwards to get in the sweet spot. The MoPads do a nice job of that and more importantly improve the clarity of the bass IMO.

The only issue I have now is I can't get my monitors any further than 3ft apart... I don't know if that's considered bad for stereo imaging etc? :?

Yeah, I thought it was more about creating an equilateral triangle with your head and the monitors than anything else. Cheers.

I can't imagine how I'd react if a chick said that to me when I was at the crib...

Maybe something like 'yo we don't need no booth right now, ya dig' !!!!
