If you really must, because you can't afford it, dig through your girlfriend and her moms CD's, or ask older people for their records, and last but not least youtube....Much rather have vinyl but if you can't get vinyl then explore any and all other options...OR stick to rapping, and if youre sick start looking around the forum for producers to work with.

Just about a month ago musicradar.com had a free pack of about 2300 vocal samples for download...chances are that they are still on the website not to mention the plethora of other free sounds on that site. Its a great place to get free high quality (24-bit) samples...which brings me to another point -if you find something on the site you'll have to use switch or a program of the like to convert the files to 16-bit.

Edited: you have to sign up but its worth it lots of good info on the site.

First is a list of portable/low-priced record players. you don't need a technic's to sample....
http://www.amazon.com/Ion-Audio-Profile ... 851&sr=8-2

http://www.amazon.com/Numark-PT01USB-Tu ... 77&sr=8-19

(and 1 of my like's just because of the kool factor)
http://www.amazon.com/Soundwagon-Portab ... 51&sr=8-12

now as for vocals, I know of atleast 1 record right off the bat that I will suggest to you. that has some vocals, their not clean/steril vocals but they can do the trick if tweaked right....

I even sample preaching preachers. Or medleys.

I have 1 lp of a preacher conducting a sermon, name/title escapes me right now but on the 1st cut it's a nice little "hmm mmm" I want to sample.

Or; you could take ur microphone (I asume you do have one, being a rapper and all..) and record some ooooohs and aaaahs..... Then just layer 'em....
I've never done that myself, but it might be worth a try.

^^^
That's what I was going to say.

Get some girls rounds with a few mates, have a laugh doing it...

(record everything remotely interesting, it's amazing what you can do with a SAMPLER.)
