Any free sammich? Beer? Anything to sweeten the deal?

But really though- glad you got the piece that you wanted and one that's in the condition you need. Gotta be a good feelin' to get piece you've been huntin' for and to not worry about the dough 8)

So, offer me something good and you know I´ll pay ridiculous amounts of money for it. HEHEHE.

At least it was one of us who scooped it up, have fun with her.

Next time you need an MPC, get in touch with me !!!!!

The only thing that matters here is that you are happy with your purchase and it sounds like you are. Enjoy it!

Money was not the issue, I´ve been searching for a clean one with europower for almost two years. This one had all the additions made this year. Opened her up and all the extras are brand new.

All the cheaper ones are usually treated like dirt, with knobs missing and scratches and all that mess. Trust me, i´ve been looking.

I have totally refurbished my MC60mkII, and allthough that one was bought cheaper, still had to spend a lot to get it fitted with everything. On that one the shipping was almost 150€, this one nothing. And JD, I ordered from you also for that one so give me a break:) Living in Finland, it aint easy.

I totally understand you sir!

I was allready getting worried that if the people on this forum dont understand my passion for these machines then I´m pretty much alone because my friends and family sure don´t get it :)
Glad to see that you get my point.
Never been much of a poster, but I really enjoy the forum, been a follower for years. Lots of helpful tips and contacts.

Its more than gearlust or an addiction, the inspiration I get from these machines is well worth the money.

this is no different from other collectibles. Sometimes people demand a certain condition (ie: mint) and are willing to spend the extra penny making sure that is what they are getting. This is especially true for old stuff.

I know a guy who has a magic the gathering card worth like a grand if not more... but apparently last year somebody had one of the same card graded 10/10 for it's condition and that was on ebay for 70,000k.

I got started with a 2000xl in ´2000 and been working with that ever since, still use it as my main machine, cant chop faster with anything else.

The collection:
MPC 60 both I&II
MPC 3000
2 MPC2000XL, (one in studio, one at home)
SP12
SP1200
S950
TR808
ASRXpro
ASR-10

Basically I have a room in my house where I go whenever in need of inspiration. The studio where I work is new school, most beats i still start with the 2K, but these machines at home are more like a hobby, learning to use them, fixing them, comparing sounds, learning their history etc. E-swift said in the new SP1200 book that he treats hes SP like a classic Chevy, thats kinda how i look at it. Spent a lot of time learning how to use all of them, not just have them collect dust. Collecting started in 2004 with the SP12, after that i´ve been on a lookout. I wanted all the gear the pioneers used, now i got them. I can post a picture as soon as i get my new desk.

And yeah, I got to start taking part on the forum.

Have a great week.

These are from ebay, like two years ago. But I´m now having a friend make me ones for the 60 to make it even more expensive, haha.
