Whats a good keyboard for producing bass lines?

I don't get the S-900/950 hype, the filter is digital albeit yes it sounds better than the one on the S-1000 and later S series..warmer sounding
But the test program...any synth/sampler will give you that sine

It's a nice sounding sampler but bottom end and warmth is not something I associate with it, I know for a fact that when I sample something in the MPC-60 or S-3200XL there is less bottom end..

EPS-16+ on the other hand...

Here is the quick demo for ya on the EPS-16+..the synths sampled are a Roland Juno 1 and Korg Mini 700s, everything is out the EPS..fx, sequencing bla de blah no eq nothing..no filtering either

the s900/s950 is good but the bonus is the test tone... that is why I suggested it. Obviously it isn't as diverse as say a micro korg or something though...

I had the MicroKorg....definitely some meaty synth patches going on in that little beast. The downside to the MicroKorg is it's extremely confusing "patch editing" parameters. There are a lot of good parameters to edit but if you like tweaking and creating your own sounds be prepared to really spend some time learning the MicroKorg's editor.

What i do using the MicroKorg, is, once i've editing the sound, i simply record it (sampling the tone) to mpc. then from there built a .pgm...
other than that as a former bass player, i use live basses too!

with s950 you get that tone for bass, plus another sampler to run your drums through.

Reason has a few ok bass sounds wich can give some decent results with some tweaking and processing.

I also need a keyboard or soundmodule, but don't have the cash to get me one.
To keep me going for the time being I bought some multisamples from the mpc-samples site for a decent price.

Still saving up money to buy that keyboard or soundmodule, but right nog I'm quite satisfied with those samples.

Get a bass guitar pimpin..
